My name is Emily. I’m an award-winning author and poet who loves to weave subtle fable-like lessons into my stories for middle graders and teens. I also write poetry, creative personal essays, and curriculum to accompany my middle grade books. My reading tastes consist of fairy tale retellings, wild adventures, and epic journeys.
When I’m not writing or helping other authors market their books, I can be found sipping something hot with my husband on our back porch, chatting and playing with my three kiddos, or hiking with my dog Trigger in the mountainous woods of North Idaho.
